This 86 is from the Fuji 86 Style day, which was held at Fuji Speedway in August.
I didn’t touch it to check, but it certainly looked like skateboard grip tape vinyl wrap. I’d never seen it before, and haven’t seen it since for that matter!
A closer look
It wasn’t just the one car, I found it again on this AE86
Has anyone seen on other cars?
I’m mainly posting this as a reminder to myself, but also to anyone else who’s in Japan and likes this kinda stuff. The big Yokohama hot rod show, which is put together by Mooneyes is coming up in just two short months. I’ve missed this the last few years because of work or other commitments but I really hope to make it out there this year.
The lowrider in the lozzz.com banner is from a local shop (very local – it’s less than a kilometer away) and won the prize for best paint back in 2010. The painter is also from Yamanashi and runs Lifestyle Kustoms, which puts out incredible work.
So here are the last of my pics from last years Hellaflush Japan. It’ll be back at Fuji Speedway again this weekend so stay tuned for more pics

Well Hellaflush will be back at Fuji Speedway next weekend, so I figure I better re-upload my pics from last year (for those that don’t know I lost all my old posts thanks to hackers.
I’m not gonna bother making a nice posts with comments or details on the cars. I don’t have the time for pics that are a year old. But here are the pics, enjoy.
We don’t usually get much of a sunset here in Yamanashi as we have the Minami Alps along the west of the prefecture, but here are some instagram snaps I took this week on my way home from work
